This weekend started pretty well. I had a household yesterday and it was fun and of course very instructive. I was glad seeing all my favourite people again and being in something where I feel I really do belong. Before the household Anne came around my place. We had a little chat and laugh before we headed to tea-licious. YES! I finally started liking it as well :) The first try was rather disappointing BUT I have finally found my preference of warm bubbletea. Anyways, Anne and I walked up that cozy and pretty straightforward street of mine towards the store. Ach, I so can't wait for the warm weather and strolls around my area. Showing some love for 1050 MARGARETEN :) We met up Venice half way. The thing about yesterday was that everyone seemed to be a little bit confused. My dad muddled up Kennet and Jeffrey, Venice was all over the place - not knowing where to go, where to meet us, where she was and other people who seemed not to understand what they were saying. The household however, was suuuper fun. Us girls had dozens of earwigs. Some good and some really bad. Kim and I had a right laugh about this stupid song by Skihütten-Party-Hit Number 1 called "Disco, Disco! Party, Party!(DISCOPARTY BROTHERS)". Click here for the video. It's half German and terrible, terrible English, but it was on top of the charts in the summer. It's pretty amusing, I think but you don't want to put this kind of music to your favourite playlist.
The other earwig we had was Cher Lloyd's version of 'Turn my swag on'. I have posted a video of her a few weeks ago. She the bomb with swagga, I tell you.
Furthermore, the core-group had a talk about the schedule. The upcoming months are going to be awesome. I can't wait for summer - congress, wyd and maybe KFL congress/camp? Lots and lots of activities. I hope the members are going to be stoked as well.

Today in the morning, I went to the dancing classes. I started about three weeks ago? My brother wanted me to take part of it to get my mind off things and just to relax for one and a half hours. This morning my big brother lead the lesson and it was awesome. I am super proud of him and he's really good :D Housing is super interesting and fun. It's rather hard because you're constantly jumping but it looks waaaaaaaay cool. Can't wait for the next lesson :)

Travel Bug Pt. 1

I've deleted the other entry about where I wanna travel after graduation because i found the post rather disturbing without any explanations or such.
Therefore, since I can relax from studying a bit, here's the new post about my jetset-life continued, hopefully:

I have totally fallen in love with Amsterdam. It has just been last October that I have visited this lovely city but I didn't quite get enough of it. The only places that have really really made an effect on me was the La Place, the best gourmet store I have been to. My roomie, her BF and I always bought our food there and it was very healthy, very fresh and of course veeery good :D Unfortunately, their homepage is only in dutch but just have a look at their food *drool*. The other place that I was very intrigued by was MONKI. I wasn't just intrigued, it was PARADISE :D I just got hold of two pieces which I am super proud about. Too bad we didn't have that much time to really really shop.
And last but not least I loved the city of Amsterdam! It just had the same atmosphere like Vienna. Imagine walking along the Viennese Canal in Schwedenplatz and around the First District, that's how it felt when walking through Amsterdam's streets. Oh right, the bikes were rather dangerous but it's just the country's charm, I guess and the people in Amsterdam were soooo nice and stylish of course!

Let's stay up north, shall we? Osloooo... many things pull me to that place. Apart from great people also the city itself is something I wanna explore. It's said to be that Oslo does not differ that much from Vienna :D Wanna see that myself and make my own impression. Oh yeah, have I mention the shopping bit yet? All of my friends came back from Oslo with hipes and hipes of shopping bags. Was I jealous? Yes very much! Fingers crossed for a Summer in Oslo =]

I really ought to go back there. BRISTOL, everybody. I spent three lovely weeks in Bristol two years ago and I should really be visiting my lovely host parents soon! They've been THE BEST host parent's EVER and I don't think anyone can top them. Bristol is a nice city and it's easy getting around. Moreover, Skins was shot there and I was thrilled about that. A lot of students live in Bristol which makes it cool to hang out in places where many young people are. One of the highlights I had in that city was the Cabot Circus. Of course another shopping mall but I tell you, you can find EVERYTHING there. Yes, I had a very nice shopping experience there.

Yessirr, BERLIN that is. Also been there already, BUT I did not really get to see the places where it really goes down. Since having covered the cultural aspect of the city, I should look where the party at. Berlin has established into a cosmopolic city with very very fashionable people. Good job, neighbours. That's what I want to see. I wanna see the artsy bit of the city and all its cool people.

Now going south of Austria to lovely and sunny BARCAAAA :D I can't wait to make a step into this city. I can already feel the hippy-like and super laid-back atmosphere in that city. Apparently, lots of students live in that city and it's super multicultural and super diverse! During Summer lots of festivals are taking place and with lots of luck and lots of prayers I might be in one of them. Lovely Valli has already been there after her graduation and she said the parties were the best in the Barcelona. Sónar 2011, where you at?

VERONA, a city I've been 2h to. It was a pity that I couldn't stay longer because it truly is a lovely city. Very renaissance, very historical and very romantic. DUH! Verona is the city Romeo and Juliette had their epic love story. The streets, the city and just the places really seemed magical. Even though Romeo&Juliette's love story was actually just fiction, the city does offer a guide through the streets of Verona and give you an insight in the places Shakespeare mentioned in his drama. Belissima!

Ah oui! J'aimerais venir à Paris, aussi! I have been to France but I have never been to Paris. Paris the city of lovers. I am quite curious about that city. It blurts fashion, love and, wait for it....... cheese! During French class we learned a bit about Paris and it sounds really intriguing. Apart from the unrest around the arrondissements, I think Paris is a must-see city when you travel through Europe. I wanna go to these little Bistros and have a cup of tea. Baguettes of course are on my list too, as well as all the little boutiques and high-fashion stores. Paris, je t'aime peut-être.

How about visiting Cannes again? Sun, drinks and party :D Swear, I had a laugh in that city and I wish I can have lots of laughs with my loved ones! Pretty much expensive city but it's worth it. It's not like I'm gonna spend my money for some highend-fashion clothes. I just wanna lay on the beach, soak up the sun and chill. Might even consider stay there 3 months to perfection my French. Would be awesome.

That's it for now. Maybe my head comes up with other travel destinations for the future. Would be awesome, indeed.
Until then

Breathe and smile

I feel quite relieved. Today I wrote my marketing test, let's see how it turns out, and got my Geography test back. Yes, yes, I do know A LOT about Africa now :D
Due to lack of sleep - I only had about 4h of sleep last night and that's something that will not be repeated again, I hope - I was totally absent minded today in the morning. But what still made me feel quite awake was the drive in me that has developped over the weeks. I can say I am happy that it's back because I've missed it for several months now :D
Apart from that I informed with good news that the teacher cancelled this accounting test for tomorrow :D super relieved! Otherwise my week would've looked like this:
Monday - Business Studies (engl. part)
Tuesday - Business Studies (german part)
Wednesday - Marketing
Thursday - Accounting
Friday - Nada

Yay for not having to do the accounting test. So when I got home today, I went straight to bed and fell asleep. I only wanted to sleep for an hour but it ended up as three hours which isn't that bad - at all. I need my sleep and I think I earned it. It's sad how I need to earn my sleep nowadays, hay hay hay :P

What I've learned about the past two weeks was, that with patience, hard work, determination and most of all prayers, everything will fall into its place somehow.
These weeks have made me appreciate the people in my lives more and have also made me stronger. Every hardship has its reasons and we grow from it as long as we are willing to take the challenge. It's put up in our lives because God knows that we can deal with it, otherwise he wouldn't have put it in, would he? That's how I see things. Finally, I learned that you are not defeated when you don't stop trying and moving on.

The bliss of understanding hidden signs

When I think about the hardships I've been going through during the recent years I am always overwhelmed with what messages God wants to put across. He's full of surprises and really gives me what I need. He's blessed me with a strong and loving family as well as friends who might come and go but mostly stay. The friends who came back into my life are most worth it. God sent them back to me for a purpose and I've understood the purpose. They should be there as a support when others can't be at the moment. He blesses us with many things only we have to really find them and really appreciate them. We should not set our hopes too high because every hello ends with a goodbye, doesn't it? If we don't get what we want don't fret and be sure to expect something even greater and bigger. The last couple of days I have learnt a lot. A lot about myself, a lot about life and a lot about reading God's signs. They've touched me and now I just have to learn to remember and fully appreciate them. Meaning, as long as I'll do my best, God will do the rest! No anxiousness, no worries, no panics - it's in God's hands and he'll reward me for what I'm going through now. BELIEVE.

I yearn for

Email ThisBlogThis!Share to XShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest

One of those...

mornings when you get up really early though you've slept enough and just lie there in bed, no one's making a sound because everyone is still asleep and you're the only one awake. Looking at the ceiling. Letting your mind do its rounds. Just lie there in peace completely shutting off your worries and thing happy thoughts for a change. Yeah, that's what I want at this very moment.

The story of the video is so sweet. Imagining having this future with your special someone is just 'awwwwwww'. The only downside about this video is Taylor Swift as a mother. It doesn't suit her yet. BUT it's so cute :] Achh, young love, eh!? :P

Define anxiety

“Anxiety is not fear, exactly, because fear is focused on something right in front of you, a real and objective danger. It is instead a kind of fear gone wild, a generalized sense of dread about something out there that seems menacing — but that in truth is not menacing, and may not even be out there. If you’re anxious, you find it difficult to talk yourself out of this foreboding; you become trapped in an endless loop of what-ifs.”

Excursion to LKW Walter

Before the big exam today three of the graduating classes, including my class and myself, went on an excursion to the forwarding agent LKW-Walter. It's Europe's first transportation company which does business all over the country. It is based in Wr. Neudorf, in Lower Austria and have a huge business premises. We headed off to their business premises in the morning and I had no idea what I should expect. I was curious though. When we got there we had a presentation about the business itself and I can say it was very very interesting. At first I had the impression that everything was so serious in that company. The two men who welcomed us seemed really professional and pretty much like businessmen but during the presentation of the company I figured that it was basically just making the first impression. So after the very very interesting presentation of the company we got the chance to have a look at the departments/profit-centres. My group was pretty much lucky because the department head was really really nice and he told us lots and lots about what they did. Apart from that he was not much older than we were, I guess, so everything was pretty laid back. They work hard though, not that you guys get a different impression. I've always seen working in a business as a very dark thing. Everything is serious and stuff, that's how I pictured it. However, it differs from company to company. At LKW-Walter they are super open and really nice and that's because the employees have to have good relationship with their colleagues as well as their employers which of course is their case. I was very much impressed by what I've learned and seen today. It made me wanna join that company as well because the people were so nice and open-minded. Apart from that, as a graduate you can be sure to get a considerably high wage when starting to work there. Plus, that company is international and in the corridors you can always hear people talking different languages which for my part I think is really good. It's one of the company's strengths - the languages - since they do business all over Europe, even till Kasachstan. For more information about the company click here.
I'm grateful for getting the opportunity to see this company because it made me think about things and made me realise that business doesn't always have to be all serious, that's why, people, pleaaassee, keep it chilled!

Talk! Reden! Parler!

It's a rainy day in Vienna today. Hmmm and I'm lying in bed writing my blog since I found a bit of time again and it feels good being able to relax again.
Talking really is the best therapy I figured today. I've kind of acquired a really bad ability over the years not to talk about things that go through my mind. Since writing has always helped me with dealing with things, I realised it just doesn't work anymore. It works with other things but not with the things that occupy my mind nowadays. This journey is hard. It's like it's right in front of your eyes but you still have to endure the hardest things, probably the most hardest things you've ever experienced in life before. When you have to put up with working in an environment that doesn't suit your lifestyle at all is, for my part, the hardest thing. However, when other negative factors add on to that, it's even harder. But who said life was easy?

The bigger problem is that I kind of avoided talking about my problems and people who know me can agree to that. I have a really hard time getting over myself and talk about myself and everything that concerns me. Over the past years, in this environment I'm in, I've noticed that mostly people just don't give a shit. They pity you but at the end of the day, it's them who they're thinking about and not some other pansy who can't cope with things. That was why I gave up talking about things that concern myself. But today I realised that those things don't matter because there's at least one person who really does feel the way you do and who is ready to listen and be there for you. Sometimes it's the people you least expect and that's the best thing because so much more comes out of it, you gain way more than you wanted. I think God just talked to me through a friend I thought that didn't matter anymore. With all the talking from today, I can say that I know where to go whenever I feel worked up and insecure. It's a hard journey to go through and I'm almost there and all I have to do is keep my grip and nerves together because there's always a way. There's always a plan B.
As long as I'm doing and giving my best, I'm sure God will do the rest.
