Splitscreen: A Love Story

I came across this video yesterday and all I can say about it is, it's remarkably done. Check it out.

Warum will man seinen Traum leben? Was will ich damit erreichen?
Also, mein Rat für euch: Zieht euer Ding durch, as long as you inspire, have faith and trust and lastly, love.

Rock N Roll, baby!

I looked at my Youtube-Channel and actually wanted to look at the videos I favourited a couple of years ago. I stumbled upon a few rockbands which I used to listen to quite often. This gives me a feeling of being silly ol' me again and ailavit! Deep down I'm quite the rocker/hippie-sorta-chick, if you get what I'm saying. I love that ol' headbanging and across the room jumping.

New York is the place to be

It's like whenever I think back when I was in New York I always get the feeling not having seen all nook and crannies of that city. Although it isn't really my cup of tea living there, I know for sure it's a city to explore and a city full of adventures. I missed that typical Soho-Brooklyn-Greenwhich-feeling since I only had lots of glimpses from Manhattan. The week last year was just too short to fully abosorb the uniqueness of the city. Apart from that I was pretty disappointed because I missed the fashion part of it all.

That weekend

... after graduation was real fun. First of all my dearest cousine celebrated her 20th birthday and the day after M4H went on its 2nd round. Here are just some pictures that might only trigger memories to a few of you ;)

MUSIC FOR HOPE 2 feat. MICHAEL CARREON: Exclusive Interview

I have been lagging with my blogposts, I am totally aware of that and I do want to apologise. The reason for being so far behind with posting is that I literally have been busy with the litte renovation in my room. Ikea here and Ikea there the past couple of days. But I am back and I told myself to put a little more effort in my blogging during the summer so to improve or keep up my writing.

Anyways, the afterhype of Music For Hope 2 might have already been digested. However, I bet that it is still quite hard to process that Michael Carreon left for the States last weekend. I was thinking that with this long awaited post, reminising about the past week with him would hopefully make you smile.

MUSIC FOR HOPE 2 feat. MICHAEL CARREON: Performers

The long, long and highly awaited event of the year finally happened last Saturday (11.06.2011) in Haus der Begegnung, Floridsdorf. This year, Brian Salonga found the courage and inspiration to set up a team and organise a very special benefit concert for the St. Anthony Boys Orphanage in Davao, Philippines.
The front hall of the venue slowly started to get packed at around 5pm with excited (mostly) young people and finally, when the doors opened everyone stormed in to get the best seats. Funnily enough I managed to get the same seats I had last year! Before everything else, Brian S. had to inform the audience that star-guest Andrew Garcia could not make it to the show due to problems with his flight. However, the night was not short of another star I will later report about.

FAITH!

"When you are tempted to get discouraged, remind yourself that according to God’s word, your future is getting brighter; you are on your way to a new level of glory. You may think you’ve got a long way to go, but you need to look back at how far you’ve already come. You may not be everything you want to be but at least you can thank God that you’re not what you used to be."

Endspurt in my Higher Secondary Education

Oh man! Friday is the day. DOOM DAY! The last exam in that school and probably also the last time I get to see the school and my fellow classmates. I am actually pissing my pants because it's the orals and the posibility to humiliate yourself is of course higher. Why oh why did my teacher put me on the spot last week. Ayayayyy... I'm just gonna do my best and make sure to go out of that room at 10.40h like this:

Till then, studyranger is ON!

Yes, we stick together like glue and yes, people have already suggested that we need some time off of each other BUT who cares what the others say? We like sisters!

WORLD PREMIER: Paramore - Monster

FINALLY! Paramore is back with a new song for the upcoming Transformers: Dark of The Moon movie.
I am super proud of this band! They've done a good job with this song without the highly missed Farro brothers. I might as well check this band out at the next Festival in the Czech Republic, hm? Hopefully there's a way I can. Big ups IDOLS. For more information, click here.

Boombuz IN STORES

My teachers introduced me to this product: Boombuz.
This Austrian Flip-Flop is basically what you call sustainable.
It is 100% biodegradable and compostable.
It has 100% lifetime.
Finally, it is 100% natural, meaning the plastic and fabric are natural as well as environmentally friendly.
Regarding their style, you can say that they have flashy colours and look pretty stylish for conventional Flip-Flops. The price for a pair of Flip-Flops starts at € 24,90 which might not come off as cheap at all but regarding what kind of materials were used, the prices are pretty much justified.
If you are interested in buying a pair, you can check out pretty much all Humanics in the city as well as their online store, of course.
Before even knowing what this product was, the company's advertising caught my attention. See here for yourself:
