ICON OF THE MONTH JANUARY: TAYLOR SWIFT

Fresh start in the new year, with a fresh new episode of a newly named 'Icon of the Month' for the year 2013, which is basically only the continuation of my 'Idol of the Month' series. The reason of the renaming is, that Idol doesn't quite suit the meaning I am aiming at. This series of course has a lot to do about Role Models and about my admiration for them out of various reasons.

I am fully aware about the headlines she has been making about the amount of guys she dated in a spantime of 3 years, however, I do not admire her in that sense but more about her music. Everyone knows what a musical genius Taylor Swift is. The reason why I admire her so much is, because she has a very good way with words. She can put the most complex situations with words as simple as A, B, C and I admire her for that. Furthermore, her ability to reach to a tons of girls (me included) with her lyrics is pure talent. So, check out her latest album 'Red' that I cannot get enough of. Here you can find some of my personal favourites.

Paramore is back and I am excited! Their new song 'Now' is out on iTunes on 22. January and their self-titled Album on 09. April! Yeah, you can guess what you can get me for my birthday :D I am waaay stoked!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

I actually cannot believe that I haven't posted this yet, but due to a lot of stuff going at the moment it must have slipped my mind! I hope you all had a great Christmas, a great New Year's Eve and of course great holidays inbetween.
As you can see, I totally think it is necessary for me to say it once again: My new year's resolution is definitely trying to update my blog regularly. With that said, I hope you like my new layout and 'logo'.

Over the past years I was lucky enough to have gotten to know a lot of talented people. Which brings me to these two talented dancers. I am so jealouse of people who get to go to the Coachella-Festival every year. This definitely stands on my 10-Year-Wish-List! You are surrounded by so much art and music during that festival and I bet the inspiration lies on a high level over there. I just love the fashion and the atmosphere they seem to rediate back. Demi Lovato's 'Stay Strong' Documentary

I've just finished watching this awesome and inspiring documentary of Demi Lovato's time of struggle.

This person isn't just another Disney Channel actress, she is so much more than that. But looking past her career and looking at her as a person she has accomplished so much more than every other teenager has. She struggled with eating disorders, depression and self-harming and through treatment she decided to live life.

Demi has inspired so many young girls and I am glad that she spoke up and openly talked about her problems since nowadays, problems are just swept under the carpet, left unsaid or just swallowed down.

It takes courage and the will to act as a role model but you can be one if you want to change the world we live in. Maybe it is God's purpose for you to be here on Earth. Always think you are down here for a greater purpose. Embrace it and live!

Maaah, endlich spürt man den Herbst so richtig. Kaltes Wetter, oftmals bewölkt und die Blätter der Bäume verfärben sich. Noch dazu ist morgen Halloween beziehungsweise das MOVE-Event.
